Peter Crouch is reportedly wanted by the Championship club Queens Park Rangers. Harry Redknapp who is in charge at QPR has already worked with the veteran striker quite a few times in the past and he is interested to do that again.
Crouch who has become 33 years old now has been in fine form at Stoke this season. His league goals’ tally for the season reads 6 and that clearly suggests how well he has played for the Potters.
Crouch is one of those players who have changed clubs frequently during his playing career. He has been active in professional arena for about 15 years and in that period; he has already played for 12 clubs. He doesn’t usually stick to a club for more than a couple of years.
However, he has been at Stoke City since quite some time now. He had landed at the Britannia Stadium in August 2011 and he has already spent 2 and half years there.
The former member of the Three Lions squad has made 87 league appearances for Stoke so far and has found the net 21 times.
As far as QPR is concerned, they are well on their way to return to the Premier League again. They are at the second position in the Championship points table currently.
But, in the recent games, they have looked like lacking a bit of firepower upfront and that’s a concern for Redknapp. He is desperate for promotion and is not in a mood to leave any stone unturned at all.
The 56 years old English manager is understood to have a couple of forwards on his radar and Crouch is one of them. However, it would be interesting to see if the Potters agree to let one of their vital players go at this stage of the season.
