Former Tottenham Hotspurs striker Peter Crouch believes that the London team can do well against Real Madrid in their Champions League group game.
Indeed Tottenham Hotspurs found themselves in the same group as Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund, and it will be tough for them to get out of this group.
However, they have started their campaign well with a 3-1 win at Wembley in their first Champions League game, and they would want to continue on the same way in their next game.
Peter Crouch believes that Tottenham Hotspurs have the necessary resources to play against the Spanish champions, but they will have to be disciplined. He said that they should not get a player sent off for a stupid reason in the opening stage of the game if they want to win the tie.
He said that Real Madrid is the European champion for a reason and Tottenham Hotspurs will have to be extra focused if they want to stand a chance to win the game. However, he believes that they have the players as well as the talents to play against Real Madrid.
The former Tottenham Hotspurs striker said that the London team has a good squad this season and that there is no doubt that they will be challenging for the title this season. He said that they have come close in each of the past seasons and that there are no reasons why the team will not be able to do the same this season.
Peter Crouch, however, believes that the team will have to win something really soon if they want to keep the same group of players together. He believes that bigger clubs will come in with better offers if Tottenham Hotspurs do not win something big in the seasons to come.
